Spring break means my parents and litttle bro come to visit me, yepee!

I had a fabulous week while my parents where in town. I was spoiled once more by my dear madre. She made me mi chicharroncito de chancho, mi cevichito, un lomito saltado and that was all I think. Oh good food! I love my family. My mama, daddy and little brother, Martin, had a great time with the kids. Yes, they only come visit the kids seem like sometimes. Joe was busy at work (tax season) but he joined us Saturday for a Museum trip. Gracias mamita, papita y bemba por venir a visitarme! Los amo!

Cool cactus slide. You only see this in AZ, I bet.

My birthday

I have to say I have the most wonderful friends. I was spoiled on my birthday! I went on a date with Joe for my birthday. We celebrated at the same time our wedding anniversary since it was just a week away. I'm very thankful for friends who are always there in the good days and bad days. Thank you to you! You know who I am talking about.

Noah's firs day of school and first day riding the school bus

Noah and I went to Target to get a backpack. He obviously picked the one with the train design on it. He started school Thursday, February 24th 2011. We got ready in the morning and left with plenty of time to get to school. The school is only 6 minutes away but there is traffic in the morning especially in the school zone. Noah has a little trouble expressing himself, so he started speech therapy at the school. He is learning lots and getting better at expressing himself everyday. He is speaking more English but I still talk to him in Spanish so that he still learn and be bilingual. He had a very hard time the first two days I dropped him off. I had some tears after I left him crying. The following Monday, the bus came to pick him up and he was happy to get in it. He loves school! He has Show and Share every Friday so far he has brought: a potato, quinoa, rock, and soup (can). Oh so fun! I enjoy taking Emma to the library for story time and shake and rattle. We have so girl time together.

Ok Emma, we really have to go now.

Coming back home-Noah is sitting on the last seat in the corner next to the window.

Noah! You did it!

Joe's birthday

We had a really good birth day for Joe. We made brownies, carrot cake, rockie road dessert, and some punch to go along. The Rodrigues' were still in town so they got to be with us for Joe's special day. We also had Ward temple day the same day. It was a very sweet day!

Going down to town

Noah was excited abou the horse but he wasn't sure about sitting on it.

Why do you have to be so molestosa? That is what Joe says to me all time

New looks

Ruth and I went to the hair salon to get a hair cut. We used a coupon online and we got our hair cuts for free (except for we had to give a tip). It was fun going out with Poof without the kids. Oh yeah, boys cut our hair but it was still good!

New mattress

So Joe and I finally bought a new mattress. It was so overdue! We could feel the springs in our old mattress. Oh well, we are still getting use to a soft bed. The mattress is a California King size, Joe is a tall boy so he totally deserved a longer bed. Since we are not use to a bigger bed, I feel like Joe sleeps far on the other side of the bed. How funny is that?

Dad Richard in town

My other dad came to Arizona to visit us. It was so much fun to have him around! Ruth and I went to the library with him and the kids. We also made all of dad's favorite food: Ribs, Fish, Mountain man dinner, pavlova, and more. It was a pretty delicious week! The kids played with grandpa and we loved his company. He also helped us with a few of our house projects. Thanks dad for helping us out and visitng us!
