Graduation

Our local high school has a children development class and every other year they will put together a experimental preschool in which the high school students do on hands mini classes and crafts. Lucky me, Noah & Emma could go together and it was only for 45 minutes three times a week but the kids had fun. The high school students had also a mini graduation for the kids and Joe was able to come for that. Thanks amorcito for coming!

Preschool at home

We are so silly during preschool. I love having fun with these girls! I was missing 2 other students that day.

Easter Sunday

Well, this Easter Sunday was not too much fun because Noah, Emma and I had the cold. We did not do an easter egg hunt or even dyed eggs. I think I might like it this way better since I did not grow up with it, and I feel like we can focus on the real meaning of easter or maybe I will change my mind completely next year :)

First time baking cupcakes by myself

These are mushroom shape cupcake style,if you didn't know :)

Tax season is over (April)

April 17th is a holiday in the Bartlett Family

Riding in the park (March)

Noah & Emma love riding their bike and car around the house. When I took them to the park for just a riding time, they loved it and even took a nap afterwards. I should do this more often :) Thanks tia Rachel for the awesome red car. The kids sure love it!

Someone had a birthday in March

Yes, I turned twenty something, and I loved my birthday this year even more now because the kids get so excited about it. They celebrated with me all day even though we never left home. Noah & Emma hum happy birthday all day, it was awesome! Are you wondering if Joe made the cake? No, he didn't but lucky him we have super great friends who made me my favorite cake (tres leches). Thank you Whitney! The cake was so so good.

Noah's updates

I feel like Noah has been learning and communicating more that he has ever been. Noah asks a lot of why questions, and needs an explanation for everything which is really good because we can introduce new words and things we want him to learn. I remember going to a meeting with Noah's teacher in February and they told me he would still use the minimun amount of words to communicate. Noah is shy but he talks a lot now. Noah had never told me about his nightmares before until now, he is almost 4 1/2 years old. The first nightmare he told me about was in March, Noah woke up crying and I comforted him and asked him what was wrong and he told me that the picture frame in his room had fallen on him. Did he have a nightmare about an earthquake? And how does he know what the movement of the Earth does? I thought it was interesting, I wish I was there so I could see what really happened. The second nightmare was just a couple weeks ago and he again woke up crying and told me there was a mosquito on his wall right next to him. Oh man, this one did make me laugh a little. Noah does not like flies, bees, mosquitos, or anything that flies around him. Noah has become quite the helper around the house, some of the things he helps with is seving his own cereal in the morning. Of course, we have put everything at his reach (bowls, cereal, milk) but he can do it and he is so happy when he does it on his own. He will also serve Emma if we ask him too. Noah likes to water the herbs that grow in the backyard. Noah helps Emma wash her hands by turning on and off the water, which Emma cannot reach yet. Noah finally says a prayer all by himself.  Is is a fairly simple prayer but he can say it alone and Emma can say a prayer on her own as well. Of course she is blessed to have such an amazing older brother. Noah also can color inside the lines in his coloring book.  For the longest time he would just scribble the whole picture, but now he uses all different colors. I don't think he likes to color what the real colors are supposed to be for an animal or anything he colors. I love Noah's sweetness, he loves me even though I am not perfect and sometimes or most of the time I run out of patience.

Tia Rachel & tio James in town (March)

We had family in town at the beginning of March. Noah and Emma were happy to see their cousins. The cousins played together. Noah & Joshua had sleep overs every night except that could not get them to take a nap in the same room at the same time. Jacob was Emma's baby, he is such a cutie pie. We did a lot of fun things and it was so nice to see and hang out with Rachel & James.

February 2012

The weather was beautiful in Arizona. We had a picnic at the park, colored valentines for friends, and sang happy birthday to Joe. Noah had his first ear infection, poor little guy. He didn't go to school for a week and it happened to be the week of valentines day. Emma found a dead lizard in the backyard and she was holding the lizard by the tail. At first I thought she was holding a plastic toy lizard, but as I got closer and almost touched it, it was a real dead lizard. Yikes! I sanitized Emma's hands a few times. This was February and it seemed like Joe started working a lot this month.
