RS General Conference
Desert Mountain Talent show
The ward had a talent show last friday. It was so fun! The ward has a lot of talent, almost every church group participated. There was singing, dancing and piano & violin playing, The Young Women did a fun skit , they hit the table and plastic cups to make a rythm that was peculiar. The Young Men also did a skit called Synchronized swimming, it was very funny the boys dressed up in their swimming suits. Someone from the Elders Quorum played an electric guitar, it was loud but it was good! Even the high priests did a dance, I have to confess I wasn't sure if one of the abuelitos would fall or get a heart attack. At the end, it was all good we didn't have to call 911. There was also a mini man show, that was really funny as well. The little kid did a great job with his facial expressions. I, of course wanted to dance a native peruvian dance (marinera)with Joe but he totally refused. I even told him love could do anything but it didn't matter, oh well. I heard that one of the sisters from Brasil was dancing the samba and I asked her if I could dance with her and then another latina joined the dance. We danced and represented our countries (Brasil, Costa Rica, Peru) even though we were all dancing samba. Oh yeah, a funny note on the dance is that when each of us had her turn to dance a brother would say on the microphone the name of the country and lift up the corresponding flag. It was my turn and he said Mexico and showed my peruvian flag. I was a little confused after he announced Mexico but I continued dancing, a minute later he apologized and said Peru. How funny is that! From now on I guess I am half mexican and half peruvian in the ward. I love my home ward!
Chupa dedos
Noah no se chupa el dedito solo lo hizo para la camara. Que obediente se esta volviendo mi pequeñito!
Primary sacrament program
I was excited for this event since it was my first sacrament program as a teacher (sunbeams). I loved it, my kids said their parts just fine. There was no gigling or crying involved. All the kids sang the songs loud for everyone to hear. It was very special and even though it wasn't perfect, we could all feel the spririt very strong.
Olivia's 1st b-day
Olivia's 1st birthday was fun. We were happy to go see the other Bartletts in AZ. All the kids behave really well and Oliva had a lot of presents.

Has your kid ever looked like this?
He was very clumsy last week. He got all his boo boos during nap time. Who knows what he actually does instead of sleep? I seriously don't even know how he got his bruises, he cries to much for me to know when he is really hurt. Poor kid!

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park
This was the first time we went to the train park. Mindy had told me about it and we finally went together a week ago. It was super fun and very cheap which means that I loved it. Noah was a bit scared after the train honked the horn but once the train started moving he was fine. Emma did fine the whole time, she didn't even know what was going on. We also jumped in the carousel, Noah did not have a good first experience on the horse. He didn't like it at all, next time I should sit with him on the carousel's bench instead of the horse. The kids also played in the playground and we had a good time.

| Emma has a sad face but she was not sad. She was more like tired. |
Oh dolly
Emma is a menace for her age. She not only destroyed her doll but also pulled the toilet paper from the bathroom while she was supposed to be sleeping (in the dark). This happened the same night we went over to our friend's house for dinner on labor day. I am thankful for my mom who taught me the basics of sewing and for everything else...
